OfficeLayout LLM is a plugin that uses artificial intelligence to assist in designing efficient office floor plans. It leverages a Large Language Model (LLM) to interpret user requirements and generate optimized layouts based on those needs. The plugin divides the workspace into four primary zones—Focus, Collaboration, Social, and Private—to ensure a balanced environment that supports different work activities. These zones each serve a unique purpose in a modern office layout: Focus zones are quiet areas for individual work, Collaboration zones facilitate teamwork and meetings, Social zones provide informal spaces for breaks and casual interaction, and Private zones offer enclosed areas for confidential tasks or calls.

It has two main components:

  1. LLM Runner – Automatically creates fundamental layout zones (Focus, Collaboration, Social, and Private) from user prompts and base geometry (office boundary + core curves).
  2. Placement – Assigns specific furniture items to these zones, allowing both automatic and manual adjustments.

Components

Part 1: LLM Runner

The LLM Runner automatically generates layout concepts—such as private cells, focus areas, collaboration zones, and social spaces—based on:

  1. A prompt describing your desired office layout.
  2. Basic floor plan curve and core curves.
